Job Description

Organizational Profile:

Fondazione L ‘Albero Della Vita (FADV) is an international development organization headquartered in Milan – Italy. Since 2006, FADV is operating with the primary objective of promoting and protecting children rights along with improving the quality of living conditions of the marginalized people, with special emphasis on children and women.

 

The project:

CHECk (Challenge Equality in Employment and Care) is a European project funded by CERV Programme. CHECk project pursues the general objective of reducing gender gap in employment in three European countries Italy, Spain and Lithuania by involving key stakeholders’ business companies and public sectors, in order to promote a transformative approach through the improvement of internal work-life balance policies.

 

Overall purpose of the role:

The Project Coordinator has to ensure the correct implementation, monitoring and reporting of all the activities of the project. The role requires strong leadership, project management experience and good organizational skills, as well as a sound knowledge of human rights and child participation. S/he will be responsible for coordination with public authorities at local, regional and European level. The Project Coordinator, in addition to the bellow mentioned qualifications, should possess a deep understanding of issues related to work life balance. She/he should have prior experience in effectively managing collaborative work with diverse stakeholders and facilitating activities within a coalition. These valuable skills are necessary to navigate the complexities of the project and foster inclusive and impactful outcomes.

 

Main responsibilities and duties:

  • Project Planning: Developing a comprehensive project plan, setting objectives, timelines, and deliverables in line with the project’s goals and EU regulations.
  • Project Implementation: Overseeing the execution of project activities, ensuring that they are carried out effectively, efficiently, and within budget. She/he is responsible for the daily management and implementation of consortium project deliverables.
  • Stakeholder Management: Engaging and coordinating with various stakeholders, including project partners, consortium members, public authorities, and relevant organizations to foster collaboration and achieve project objectives.
  • Quality Assurance: Supported by the QA manager of the Foundation she/he is in charge of maintaining high standards of project implementation, ensuring adherence to EU guidelines, best practices, and ethical standards.
  • Monitoring and Evaluation: Establishing systems to monitor project progress, tracking milestones, and evaluating outcomes against predetermined indicators and targets.
  • Risk Management: Identifying and managing project risks, developing contingency plans, and taking proactive measures to address potential obstacles.
  • Communication and Dissemination: Facilitating effective communication within the project team and with external stakeholders, as well as disseminating project outcomes and results to relevant audiences.
  • Responsible for the timely submission to the Donor of project narrative and financial reporting.

 

 Required qualifications and experience:

  • Master’s degree or equivalent in Humanities or Economics and preferably a Specializing Master in Project Management.
  • A minimum of three years of work experience in European projects coordination and financial management
  • A minimum of two year of work experience in managing projects on gender, human rights, inclusion, work-life balance
  • Professional experience of planning and managing in humanitarian and social initiatives
  • Good knowledge of European implementing and reporting requirement system
  • Fluent English, written and oral
