Job Description

Are you passionate about ethical sourcing and human rights due diligence? Do you want to be part of an innovative supply-chain programme impacting practices at ground level? Then this could be for you.

We are looking for an experienced Programme Manager to manage our Italy Wine Programme focussed on tackling forced labour and implementing responsible recruitment, in which you will work closely with Italian wine businesses, and the Nordic wine monopolies who sponsor the programme.

In this varied one day/7.5 hours per week role you will provide day to day management, and strategic input, help to administer, manage and grow the programme. You will engage and work with the established Italy steering groups and their sub-contractors and suppliers, as well as engage more businesses in the programme and build on the many opportunities to further our work. You will also deliver interactive training workshops for businesses and work successfully with our partners.

You will work from home, and will join a friendly, supportive, and committed global team, and contribute towards creating systemic change.

 

Who you are:  

  • An experienced project manager with an in-depth understanding of the Italian wine/consumer goods industry and senior experience in business engagement/developing and managing senior management corporate relations
  • A professional who has worked with or within the wine or consumer goods sector on responsible business behaviour and with a good knowledge/understanding of forced labour, responsible recruitment, and ethical labour practices
  • An excellent trainer, with experience of preparing and delivering training to businesses
  • A great organiser, with the ability to set and meet demanding targets and deadlines, and to hold others accountable to those
  • Someone with an interest in being involved in operations as well as strategic thinking
  • An excellent communicator, with experience of developing and building new successful working relationships with a range of stakeholders, as well as confidence in representing the programme professionally at events
  • A motivated and enthusiastic worker, able to work independently and with remote colleagues/stakeholders, delivering day-to-day workload with minimal supervision
  • Someone with a good eye for detail, whilst retaining sight of the bigger picture.

The role is varied with opportunity to support strategy development across Italy. You will work remotely, but in close cooperation with the Head of Global Programmes, a Programme Coordinator and rest of the team.
