Responsibilities
1. Develop, produce, adapt, and distribute digital content for MSF Italy’s social media channels in line with the Social Media Strategy.
· Ensure the ideation and production of digital content for effective storytelling on the organization’s social channels, aiming to inform, raise awareness, and engage audiences;
· Contribute to changing the humanitarian sector narrative through social media content, ensuring the highest protection of the people MSF assists, respecting the diversity of MSF staff from all backgrounds, and countering racist and “white savior” stereotypes;
· Adapt communication materials from MSF operational centers or other sections for the Italian audience;
· Ensure the dissemination of content across social media platforms (Meta, X, LinkedIn, YouTube, TikTok) following a digital-first approach;
· Actively collaborate with other members of the Digital Content Team (Digital Content and Social Media Officer and Digital Content and Audiovisual Specialist) to contribute to the digital editorial plan and ensure 100% implementation on MSF Italy’s social media channels;
· Stay updated on new developments in social media (platforms, formats, and audiences) and propose innovative storytelling methods and new target audiences for MSF Italy.
2. Design and implement strategies to enhance online community engagement.
· In collaboration with other members of the Digital Content Team, ensure the production of digital content capable of engaging online communities on humanitarian topics and encouraging participation among fans and followers;
· Promote the creation of user-generated content within the MSF online community;
· Transform reports, statements, dossiers, and articles into tweets, memes, quizzes, and reels to make MSF Italy’s testimonies and advocacy efforts go viral;
· Help identify and establish relationships with social media influencers and content creators, in line with MSF’s principles and influencer strategy;
· Work closely with the Digital Content and Social Media Officer to facilitate meaningful discussions among fans and followers on humanitarian issues and MSF Italy’s positions.
3. Contribute to digital storytelling and campaigning projects.
· Help narrate and share MSF Italy’s values and principles on the organization’s social media channels through specific digital storytelling projects;
· Support the development of MSF Italy’s online campaigns with various objectives (awareness, advocacy, lead generation, fundraising) and encourage participation among fans, followers, and new audiences.
4. Monitoring and analysis of trending topics, online research, and performance
· Continuously monitor social media trends through social listening to leverage positioning and engagement opportunities, in line with the organization’s communication themes and strategic guidelines;
· Constantly track online search trends using tools like Google Trends to identify strategic topics for the organization’s positioning and new visibility and engagement opportunities;
· Systematically analyze social media content and performance in relation to objectives, identifying and suggesting data-driven optimizations.
Qualifications
Key requirement /education:
· Bachelor’s degree required;
· Excellent knowledge and use of major social networks (Meta, X, LinkedIn, YouTube, TikTok, Instagram);
· Self-learning and continuous updating on digital communication, multimedia, and social media.

Experience:
· 5 years of work experience in Social Media Management (Meta, X, LinkedIn, YouTube, TikTok, Instagram) and digital content production (posts, tweets, memes, Reels, carousels, quizzes, photos, and videos);
· Excellent creative, writing, and visual communication skills;
· Strong knowledge of image editing, video editing, and graphic design tools (Canva, Adobe Premiere, Photoshop, Illustrator);
· Good knowledge of online listening tools such as Google Trends;
· Excellent translation and text adaptation skills from English to Italian.
Added value/asset:
· Training or specialized master’s degree in digital communication, multimedia, and social media;
· Experience in communication for the non-profit sector;
· Previous experience with MSF;
· Experience in storytelling and the use of personal social media.
Conditions:
Contract:Fixed-term contract of 12 months with potential extension. Full-time. Level II of Italian CCNL of Commerce.
Gross Annual Salary: min 32.212€ – max 38.979 € (depending on experience of the selected candidate)
Starting date: 01/04/2025
Location: Hybrid, MSF Italy Rome office and from home.
